Regular Cleaning
Sweep or vacuum your SPC flooring regularly to remove dust and debris. Use a soft-bristle broom or vacuum with a hard-floor attachment to prevent surface scratches.
Mopping and Washing
Clean the floor with a damp mop using warm water or a neutral pH floor cleaner designed for vinyl or SPC flooring. Avoid excessive water — the surface is waterproof, but standing water can seep into joints and loosen adhesive trims over time.
Avoid Harsh Products
Do not use abrasive chemicals, wax, or solvent-based cleaners. Avoid scouring pads, steam cleaners, and high-pressure equipment, as these can dull the finish or damage click joints.
Prevent Scratches
Use felt pads or soft protectors under furniture legs. Avoid dragging heavy items directly across the surface. Place entry mats at doorways to catch grit and dirt that can mark the floor.
Temperature and Environment
SPC flooring performs best in room temperatures between 18°C and 27°C. Avoid long-term exposure to direct sunlight by using blinds or curtains, as intense heat can cause minor expansion or discolouration.
Spill and Stain Removal
Wipe up spills promptly with a dry or slightly damp cloth. For stubborn marks, use a mild detergent diluted in warm water. Avoid ammonia-based or acidic products.
Underfloor Heating Use
If fitted over underfloor heating, ensure the surface temperature does not exceed 27°C. Increase the heat gradually at the start of each heating season to prevent thermal shock.
Long-Term Care
Regularly check skirting, trims, and transitions to ensure they remain secure. If a plank becomes damaged, it can be replaced individually thanks to the SPC click system.
Protection and Cleaning
Use wood flooring felt pads on heavy furniture and chairs that will be used frequently.
Check shoes, especially heels and football boots for any metal or hard materials that may damage your floor.
Install door mats at entrances to help remove any dirt, stones, and moisture from the bottom of shoes.
Heat should be maintained between 15- 28°C to avoid excessive movement.
