Terms & Conditions

Please carefully read our terms and conditions policy as seen below. For more information on returns please see our Returns Policy.
      • Upon delivery of your goods, please open the pallet and check for any damage. You should also check that the correct goods have been received, before you sign the POD. Any flooring laid without being checked on delivery is the responsibility of the customer. Please note as per our haulage company's COVID-19 guidelines, deliveries cannot be brought into living premises.
      • Any damage reported 2 days after delivery will not be refunded as we have no recourse with the haulage company at that point.
      • Wood Floor store operates a 30 day returns policy for up to 5% of straight plank floors and up to 10% of herringbone floors of the originial order. Returns will be valid for a full refund on the basis that they are unopened and in saleable condition. Please note that any Pergo fooring carries a €5 restocking fee per box returned.
      • Before your floor is laid by either yourself or a professional, there are a couple of things you should check to ensure the ground is suitable for new flooring. It is essential that the subfloor is level, with a moisture level of <4%. You should also ensure that there is room for 10mm expansion around the perimeter of the floor.
      • We recommend that any floor be left to acclimatise in the room it is to be laid in for at least 24 hours before the fitting of the floor.
      • When laying the floor it is recommended that the fitter run no more than 12 meters of flooring continuously without a break.
      • In a situation where you may want to run a floor throughout the entire ground floor without breaks we emphasise the need to give special attention to the expansion necessary while fitting, sufficient expansion needs to be left around the entire perimeter especially around any door frames (10mm minimum).
      • In a situation where there is not sufficient expansion left while fitting the floor Wood Floor Store will not accept any damages for any floor issues arrising due to this fitting error.
      •  It is recommended that you thoroughly inspect the floor upon completion. In some cases, if the fitter has laid the floor incorrectly, damage will only come to light when the floor is exposed to a slight amount of moisture. Please inspect the floor for any marks, and notify the fitter immediately if you notice something unusual.
      • For insurance reasons, orders can only be collected Monday-Friday. Staff will not be able to process collections during weekend opening hours.
      • Should you decide you would like your floor fitted professionally, we are more than happy to put you in touch with one of multiple highly-recommended fitting teams. Wood Floor Store will provide you with an accurate rate for the fitting of your floor, and pass on your details to one of the teams, who you will be contracted with for the fitting service from that point onwards. The team will advise you on additional costs, if any, associated with the laying of the floor.
