Engineered wood has a real hardwood top layer bonded to a plywood or HDF core. This makes it much more stable and less likely to warp or gap than solid wood.
It can be "floated" on underlay or "glued down." Glue-down is recommended for a premium feel and better heat transfer with underfloor heating. We exclusively recommend glue-down for the engineered herringbone floors.
